My thepit.com strategies

I couldn't help but post another post on this blog. I enjoy writing about my obsession with speculation of prospects/gambling on The Pit. My account isn't the biggest on the site by far, but it does have a few hundred dollars in it. And since I'm on a budget, I can't afford to invest in the big money cards (I call them quality card, $5+ per), usually these are the Spx, Sp Authentic, Elite Extra Edition Autos, Topps Chrome Autos, etc. Most of my investments are in Quanity. In baseball I'm looking for uncirculated cards of guys that are consistent, young, and with the posibility to go to the majors. In football its a lot of 2nd and 3rd string qbs, rbs, and a occasional wr. Usually I'm picking these cards up between $.05 and $1 apiece. There are quite a few cards in my account that I have 100+ of. And when one of those guys gets hot and the cards starts trending upwards, I make good money. For instance, I purchased a pile of Bowman Uncirculated Trent Oeltjen cards about 2 years ago for $.10 apiece. He was consistently good, but nothing great, always in AAA ball. About a year ago, he got hot, jumped to the majors, and his bowman uncirculated cards jumped to say $.75ish apiece. Big money, No, but when you make $.65 apiece on 50 cards, not a bad deal. Now if only Colten Willems would do well, I'd be set. I've been speculating on him since the beginning, I think I have about 150 of his Chrome rc's in my account, but as of yet, nothing real special. Anyways hopefully I can get a few followers here, and this blog will grow. Its not to interesting talking to myself here. If you know anyone that plays on www.thepit.com tell them, and hopefully we can all learn something here, and become better traders.
